Please see below for a timeline showing the community consultation we have undertaken on the late bar proposal:
Timeline
We have regularly consulted with our neighbours and local councillors during the course of the consultation process. Some changes have been made to the scheme as a result of feedback received, including:
Following feedback from statutory consultees and Officers, we have amended the licensing application to a terminal hour of 2am, with premises closing at 2.30am.
The reservation window for pre-booking will now close 30 minutes before opening, to avoid guests turning up unannounced and creating queues and traffic
The smoking area has been moved from the corner of Salamanca Street and nearer to the main hotel entrance
We have shared a plan showing up to the ten locations that security personnel will monitor around the site, managing entry/exit, taxi pick up, the hotel reception and smoking areas. We are confident more security presence will assist in helping to manage issues neighbours face with other local venues
We will not be applying for an additional taxi rank but will utilise the loading bay and overspill area at the front of the Hyatt
We recognise the confusion around the separate application for the POTUS door and have also addressed this during consultation, adding planning conditions
We commit to addressing any issues around rubbish storage and collection
We have addressed the benefits package for local residents and are keen to continue meeting and addressing any operational concerns they may have
We will meet local residents regularly in future to ensure any concerns or operational matters are tackled affectively and satisfactorily.
